Large Inverters Up to 500,000 Watts

Large Pure Sine Wave
Off Grid Inverter
DC to AC Power

This new line of Pure Sine Wave Inverters puts out much more power than most Inverters. Before we added these Power Inverters to our website the highest wattage Inverter went up to 15,000 watts. This new Inverter line goes all the way up to 500,000 watts with 17 Inverters starting at 8,000 watts.

The biggest advantage of this Off-Grid Inverter is that it has received UL1741 approval. Other great features include the following:
·        Easy to Repair
·        Little Fault Rate (<1%)
·        100% Full Power Stable Output
·        High Efficiency (>94%)
·        Long Service Life (>15 Years)
·        AC Power Priority or Battery Power Can Be Set
·        Wide DC Input Voltage Range Can Be Set
·        Output Frequency 50Hz/60Hz Can Be Set
·        Output Voltage Can Be Set
·        Variable Frequency Start or Step Down Voltage Start
·        Large LCD Display

To determine if you need a large Inverter like this you first need to figure out the continuous power (watts or amps) of the electronics you wish to run and also the initial load requirement which is often double the requirement for the continuous load. Then you can determine the correct size of Inverter you need, keeping in mind that it is advisable to use a larger Inverter (about 20% more) than what it seems like you need. Here are some helpful formulas to help determine the size of Inverter you’ll need:
Amps to Watts – Multiply Amps X 120 (AC voltage) = Watts
Approximate Startup Load – Multiply Watts X 2 = Starting Load
AC Watts to DC Amps – AC Watts divided by 12 X 1.1 = DC Amps

We look forward to answering your questions about Inverters. Pure Sine Wave Inverters only work properly when they are the right size for the job so be sure to do some research before starting your solar project.

New Large Long-Life Lithium Battery Called XCell

XCell Battery
Lithium Batteries
240Ah and 277Ah

On a recent trip, I visited a battery factory that makes these larger Ampere-Hour (Ah) Lithium Batteries. I’m excited that we can now expand our line of Long-Life Aluminum-Encased Lithium Batteries. Before we found this cell, our highest ‘Ah’ battery was the 220Ah Bright Star cell. Now we have the XCell 277Ah Battery that goes over 3,000 charge cycles before reaching 80% of the original capacity. Additionally the 240Ah XCell Lithium Battery goes over 3,500 charge cycles before reaching the 80% threshold.
This is the fourth different company that makes what I consider our number 1 product; Long-Life Rechargeable Lithium Batteries. We started out with New Energy cells several years ago and then moved on to the Fortune batteries in June of last year. Fortune makes great 60Ah and 100Ah cells which we regularly sell out of soon after we receive a shipment to our offices.

The Bright Star battery came soon after in August of last year. I thought this would be the best battery company I could find because the factory was so impressive and they made larger cells than Fortune could supply. But I think I just might have found the best battery of them all, the XCell battery. I’m always on the lookout for a better performing battery pack and I’m excited to have this new deal with XCell. We get these cells at a lower per-ampere-hour price than either the Fortune or the Bright Star so we are ready to quote you a great price on these new batteries.

Check out the pricing and specifications for yourself to see what I’m so excited about!

How a Battery Balancer Works

Guide to Battery Balancing

This is a guide we’ve put together that explains how Battery Balancers work and what improvements are made to the lithium batteries when they are properly balanced. More information can be found under “How the GNE Balancer Works” and “Specification of Battery Balancer” on our website. Please give us your questions and comments about this guide!

How the Balancer Works to Protect Batteries
This diagram tells you how the balancer works. Each battery is compared to a cup. Each balancer is like a pump. With the pumps, all the cups will have the same level of water because the water will flow from the higher cups to the lower ones. The balancers are connected in parallel to the batteries. They won’t affect the charging or discharging of the batteries.

All battery balancers connected to a battery pack interact with each other; not just the neighboring balancers. Suppose there are 4 cells of the following voltages: 3.1V, 3.2V, 3.3V, and 3.4V. Power will be transferred from 3.4V to the other batteries. The lower batteries will be charged by the higher ones. Finally they will reach the same level.

What Happens to Batteries When They Aren’t Balanced?
The individual cells in a battery pack are rarely an exact duplicate of all the cells in the battery pack.

In actual practice, when a pack of batteries reaches a specified charge cutoff voltage then the charger will shut off. If one cell in a pack reaches that voltage before other cells reach a full charge it will cause the charger to shut off – prematurely denying the balance of the pack a full charge.

Conversely when the weakest cell in a pack reaches its discharge cutoff voltage it will show as the discharge point and shut down the pack prematurely – thereby denying the user the balance of energy the other cells have stored.

The battery equalizers prevent this from happening. This process yields up to 30% more power and will extend the life of the battery pack.

Five Advantages of Using a Battery Balancing System
1.   Keeps your batteries voltage difference within 10mV!
2.   Keeps your batteries safe all the time with no overcharging of over discharging.
3.   Prolongs your battery lifespan 2~3 times.
4.   A very simple installation.
5.   A low price. You pay a small amount of money to protect your battery. Compare to the cost of replacing your expensive lithium battery, the balancer is very cheap.

How to tell if the Battery Pack Balancers are Correctly Installed
Measure the voltage of the batteries with a multi-meter to see if each of the batteries voltage is normal.

Listen to the balancers. If they are connected correctly, they will produce a high-frequency sound. Because the sound is quiet, you need to get close to the balancers. The more balanced the batteries are, the smaller the balance current it will have, and the softer sound they will make and vice versa. If they are connected the wrong way, you won’t be able to hear the sound.

Exciting EV Conversions of Model T and Suzuki Samurai

Model T and
Suzuki Samurai EV Conversion

This Model T was converted to Electric and appeared in the biggest parade in Utah. We started out our company with a primary focus on converting gasoline cars into Electric Vehicles (EV). Even though we’ve gone away from doing the actual converting, it is still a thrill to see a conversion through to completion for our customers. We were also excited by a Suzuki Samurai EV Conversion which one of our customers put together.
We live in an age when it’s easier and sometimes less expensive to buy a new Electric Car than convert a classic car to run on electricity. I started my company after I saw the movie “Who Killed the Electric Car” and was shocked to learn the lengths that General Motors had gone to deprive the average American from being able to drive on an inexpensive, non-polluting fuel. I knew that Electric Cars could become popular again under the right circumstances. Today with car companies like Tesla putting out new EVs full car conversions are less common. That is why I love hearing conversion stories from average car enthusiasts.
We still provide conversion parts like Lithium Batteries, Motors, Chargers, Controllers, Contactors, and many others on our website, Electric Car Parts Company.com. Ask us a conversion question or tell us about your own EV Conversion experience!

MPPT Solar Charge Controller Can Operate in Parallel

12V, 24V, 36V, or 48V 60A MPPT
For Flooded, SLA, AGM, Gel, Lead Acid Battery
and LiFePO4 (Lithium) Battery Packs
Solar Charge Controller
11.2 * 8.1 * 3.6 in. (285 * 205 * 93 mm)
7.9 Lbs. (3.6 Kg)

Our offerings on the solar front have increased dramatically in the last 3 years as we’ve added Inverters, Energy Storage Systems, and today’s featured product Solar Charge Controllers
The 60A MPPT Solar Charge Controller can operate in parallel and uses advanced dual-peak or multi-peak tracking technology. The Lithium Battery gets charged with maximum power in real time. As the Charge Controller user manual says, “This product can keep monitoring the solar panel’s generating power and tracking the highest voltage and current values (VI) in real time, enabling the system to charge the battery in maximum power. It’s designed to be used in off-grid photovoltaic systems to coordinate operation of the solar panel, battery and load, functioning as the core control unit in off-grid photovoltaic systems.”
A Solar Charge Controller regulates the voltage and current coming from the solar panels going to the battery to prevent the battery from overcharging. A Solar Battery Charger is used in solar applications and comes in two types: PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) and MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker)
A PWM Solar Charge Controller matches the voltage of the solar panel to the voltage of the battery by pulling down the solar panel’s output voltage.
An MPPT Solar Charge Controller optimizes the match between the solar array (PV panels) and the battery bank. It converts a higher voltage DC output from the solar panels down to the lower voltage needed to charge batteries and convert the extra voltage of the panel into current which increases the output from the solar system.
We are confident that these MPPT Solar Charge Controllers will be just what you need for your Solar System at a reasonable price!

Features of the 60A MPPT Solar Charge Controller:
·        Advanced dual-peak or multi-peak tracking technology.
·        Built-in maximum power point tracking algorithm to improve energy utilization efficiency of photovoltaic systems.
·        Charging efficiency 15%-20% higher than traditional PWM solar charge controllers.
